If you know your WGHS history, you will know that we date back to 1878. when Headmistress, Miss Allen welcomed the first 58 girls to Wakefield Girls'.

In celebration of our founding year of 1878, we invite you to join Club 1878 with a regular or single gift of £18.78; £187.80; £1,878 or £18,780.                                                                                       We value all support and gifts, regardless of size. They truly make a difference and that is appreciated.   Club 1878 members join the Head in school for lunch and feature on our donor roll (unless you wish to be anonymous).
